Alex Martin was just a Blacksmith’s apprentice in a small farm town, who accidently enchants a cooking pot; I mean who doesn’t do that every now and then? But suddenly he finds himself on his way to Xarparion, the premier teaching academy for wizards on the planet! Just one small problem… He’s an Enchanter!
Unlike other mages that can cast fireballs and summon elementals, and other cool stuff, Enchanters are only able to craft magic items. Once he gets there he finds he is in a class all of his own, literally! He’s the first Enchanter born in 700 years! And the dark forces of power wish it had been a lot longer, like never!
Meanwhile, completely unknown to Alex, mysterious forces of light are also in play and are grooming him for a run at a Necromancer whose undead hordes control half the world! To help him he acquires, a half crazed mentor, an unwanted pixie and a hot sword slinger girlfriend that fights the zombie apocalypse every night in her sleep!
And if those three weren’t enough to drive anyone crazy, the rest of his friends might! Mischievous fashion conscious druid girls, a dwarf, dragons, a talking sword, and the occasional marmot fill out the cast of characters for this adventure!

Might be ok for young adults, but it read like it was written by a 14 year old (maybe it was?). There were some good ideas here, and I did finish the book, but I don't think I'll read another from this author without some pretty convincing reviews.
It could also be that this is the author's first book, and they'll get better from here, but the writing style (while not terrible) did get annoying sometimes with the way it shifted perspective. The pace needs some work, too - alternating between too fast and too slow. There was way way too much written about food - and not in a good way that makes you hungry, more like in a bad way that makes you bored. The characters were pretty slim and there are a ton of useless ones that could be interesting, but just did nothing. And for me, there were a lot of plot elements that just didn't make sense or feel believable. Feels like a book without an editor.
The ending was another non-ending, just cutting off in the middle of things. Very unsatisfying.

Its amazing book and a must read novel. It covers genres- action, fantasy, young-adult, heroism, friendship, and whats more you want? Also its definitely not one timer and you will love to read it again.
About the story..Its not that predictable and even if we know the hero will win or survive, its very interesting to know how the events will unfold! Friends, plot is great and you will not want to give up the book until you not finish it!
Try it out and i am sure you will not be disappointed...

l liked the idea of this book though in execution it was so so it's probably a 2.5 stars. I would have liked to see more done with the enchanter powers the guy makes his iron man suit for himself then a crysis style stealth suit for his girl and that's about it. Having him be a magical q world have been fun. Main guy feels a bit Marty Sue in a lot of ways magical apprentice who doesn't really need teaching learns everything easily has all these amazing powers and everyone loves him bar a couple of bully's will hurt keeps defeating. it was a kindle unlimited which I normally avoid as it's not exactly the mark of quality. still a nice concept I just wish a more capable author had written it.

This is such a cliché. The author was trying way too hard to make the main character funny and it just did not work for me. Also the pace of this book is just too quick. Another thing that irks me is that everything the hero does and gets is just perfect from the way he automatically can do magic plus he gets these premonitions or rather knows things with no reason. [spoilers removed] Give the guy some friction or something that makes his life difficult not some one dimensional bully in school. I really don’t know if I will be waiting for the next instalment.

Interessting, I like the Idea of a more gadget based story, not all fancy fireballs and such
